question about online low limit poker strategies?

I see lots of books and online tutorials on strategies to play. I have been practicing some, and basicaly normally break even. Play on Ultimate Bet. Question is, since I still feel like i am in the practice stage, play the very low limit poker, blinds like 10 and 20 cents. Question is will the strategies work better in the larger stakes games. I feel that some of the donk calls i get would not happen at the 5-10 dollar tabels and larger, but not sure.

Play tournaments, then everyone starts with the same amount. When you play games for cents, then a lot of people don't care about the betting and will be dumb and you'll lose a lot on dumb luck. In tournaments, like $6 entry fees, everyone starts with the same amount of chips and the $$ amount is removed. You'll also get more game time for the entry fee.

I would suggest that you should employ different types of strategies to different types of players. For example, bluffing someone who is a calling station is not a good strategy. However, bluffing someone who is a tight player will be much more successful. Using this strategy you will do much better by not bluffing as much in the lower limit games. My point is you need to always adjust your game to your opponents. Check out these poker strategy articles. I'm sure they will help:

This is a simple question. The higher the game, the harder to beat. If you're not beating the "donks", then you need to re-think your game.

Which game would you rather play:

#1 - A table where nobody ever "draws out" against you because they always play solid poker.

#2 - A table of donks where people are calling most bets that you make - even if they only have 2nd or 3rd pair on the board, or gut-shot straight draws, and the occasional runner-runner flush draw. These folks continue to make these crazy calls, and sometimes they catch the cards they need to beat you.

Personally, I'll ALWAYS choose table #2! To a patient player, there is your bread and butter.

"Most of the money you'll win at poker comes not from the brilliance of your own play, but from the ineptitude of your opponents" - Quotation by Lou Krieger. There is going to be good players and idiots at every level. Chances are that there are more idiots playing at the lower limits, but not necessarily.....
