Why does betfair poker not work in australia?

but full tilt, pokerstars etc do...?

fullhouse 		I didnt know it doesnt work there, as far as I know the sports betting service is welcome for australians. Im really surpised, are you sure its right ?

Davidov 		That's because a condition of holding a bookmaker's license in Australia is that the customers can't play poker, thus Australian resident can't play poker on Betfair.

It is possible on other poker site because they don't hold a bookmaker license.
