In general, I imagine it's a pretty small percentage. But then again, it depends on the action of the table and the format of the show. The World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker events probably show between 10-20% of the hands. Final tables can drag on for many hours- but the show has to be edited down to 90 minutes for a two hour show and 45 mintues for a one hour episode. A show like Poker After Dark, where it's an hour show over five episodes I would imagine shows closer to 50%(if not higher) of the hands. And a show like High Stakes Poker would show a higher percentage of hands as well ( from 50% to 75% or higher).

I don't know the actualy percentage, but it's very small.

One of the dealers at the local poker room dealt at a WPT event a few years ago. She said it took about 6 hours for the final table.

When you figure that they cut it down to a two-hour TV show, including commercials, interviews, commentary, etc., they show probably less than 20% of the hands.

On the WSOP main event, it's probably even less. The final table is 9 players, and it usually lasts 12 to 14 hours, and it gets cut down to a one hour (maybe two?) program. You're probably only seeing about 10% of the hands.

One way to judge how many hands might be cut is to follow the button. The button always moves one spot to the left. If you see the button move 4 or 5 spots between hands, you know they've cut a bunch of stuff.

It depends on the show.
High Stakes Poker on GSN shows almost every hand in the entire cash game session. I'd say about 80%.

The World Poker Tour shows only about 5% of the hands at the final table. Final tables sometime go for hours and hours. They have to edit it down to fit in the major hands.

Lastly, the WSOP shown on ESPN pretty much only shows all-ins since they have to edit days of footage down to a few shows, so I'd say they show about 1% of all the hands played.
