What is the optimal poker strategy to use on "loose-agressive" players from Eastern Europe (A.K.A. "Donks")?

Please help me with some thoughts! Specifically, I'm looking at possibly playing in 90 player (9 table) tournaments ranging in buy-in value from $12-$48... Thx friends!

wait for the right hand against them. when you hit the nuts let them bet for you. put a hurting on them and make the bully go on tilt.

I have a couple of comments. First of all, don't assume that all loose-aggressive players are donks. There are several professional poker players who I'd classify as loose-aggressive.

As far as your questions goes, it depends on whether you are playing limit or no limit, and whether you are playing at a regular table or in a tournament.

For a regular, no limit table, playing tight is best solution. As boring as it is, just fold your hands until you get a good one.

If you are in a tournament, you have to loosen up a little. If you simply fold all of your hands, you could go broke posting blinds or get way behind everyone else in the tournament before your hand comes up. Call reasonable bets for as many hands as you can and hope for a catch on the flop.

If you are at a limit table, I'd say play loose just like them. Statistically, you'll catch just as many good hands as they will. The difference is that you will go back to playing tight between the turn and river. If you don't have a good hand after the turn is dealt, just fold or check. If you do have a good hand, then play it aggressively. The idea is to make sure that the pot is bigger when you win than it is when you lose.

Sit back, play tight, and set traps. You might be able to buy a few pots here and there after they see the nuts from you in a showdown. Don't get caught up in pissing matches with them.

Just play tight against these folks. If you ARE going to play a hand, though, play it balls out!
