Sit and Go Strategy Online Tricks?

Can someone tell me how I can learn how to play Sit and Go poker online without having my skill of being able to read people in person? I am pretty frustrated right now because I have been pulling all nighters playing free, and a few paid SNG tournaments. Anyways I would appreciate it if someone could offer up some insight into how they switched from playing in person to performing well online please.

armenece 		This is definitely a difficult transition to make, but the best key that i've kept in mind when playing online is ALWAYS be versatile in your styles of play. Between being aggressive in early position to limping in on blinds to check-raising, you HAVE to be able to switch your style to match up against whoever you're facing.

Also, TAKE NOTES. A lot of sites allow you to right click on a player's icon and leave a note about that player. Leave these notes short, and include hands that he beat you with, they're easier to remember that way. I have quite a few notes on ppl that just say "Super aggressive / 6-5off beat my K-Q".

I like to play a little more aggressively more than conservatively, but it'll really all just come with experience and practice. Learn to play against the other player, not necessarily just with what cards you're dealt.

smithy 		I started playing SNG poker a decade ago. Before that I was a full time texas holdem poker rounder. I had plenty of moves in person and could spot a persons tell a mile away. I knew all the different ways people would show their strengths and weaknesses.

Online SNG poker is a whole different game. If I were you I would just play free SNG poker tournaments at any of the number of sites online. Don't waste your money trying to learn online, that is how suckers get taken.

After you have a bit of experience with gathering some chips online, try reading some SNG strategy guides and joing the twoplustwo forum. There is a bunch of poker players that give each other helpful advice on how to win at SNG online. Believe me everyone has gone through what you are going through.

Don't get frustrated, get informed and read trusted sources as much as you can. Don't let people in poker rooms try and tell you how to play, chances are they are just trying to give you faulty playing habits so they can read you, or their friend can come in after them and play you like a grand piano.


Just finished up reading a SNG poker book the other day, and I continue to read SNG poker blogs.
