Online poker question!?

I play online poker and i left my account still signed on. My little cousin who is 11 went on my computer while i was away started to play with my full bank roll at very high level. He was just going all in every hand thinking it was play money. I worked 50 to 600 took me months to do it. He some how won 1700 from the 600. I went on to play i noticed I had Alto more then i should. I looked back and my hand history I told my self i dont play this way who did this. I asked my little cousin did you play on my computer. He replied i played poker! He was going all in with hands like k 4 off suite agianst pocket 10s or something and winning. I am really upset because if he would of lost it I would of been screwed. However he won me more then then i could ever win on my own. Should i be upset with him or happy he went on my computer? I was baby siting so his parents could go out to eat!

you should be upset because it's like getting your money and trying to gamble with it. If he really want to play poker why not create an account in other site with free bankrolls and let him play that. And tell him that you can play this but not the account that you've grinded off.

heres a link to get 50$ free on fulltilt

you ought to be upset since he played on your computer - where your cousin could have had lost all your money - guess he was too lucky and won you loot

anyways, you better be careful leaving your game on

If anyone from the site looks into this you could get into major trouble. As it is illegal for other people especially underaged people to play on your account. Especially if a user is reported as having played as differently as you have. Also how do you know what hands he played and how he played?

You should be pissed and you should let him know. BUT he did win you money. His parents could press charges against u if they wanted too since you have to be 18 to gamble. I personally would make sure the kid would never do it again by punishing him in some way and then go buy him a new bike for winning me the money.

Yes, you should be pissed...at yourself. You were supposed to be babysitting. Why was he left unsupervised so long to begin with? Why did you leave your account signed in? Count yourself lucky and chalk it up as a lesson learned.

I just happened by chance that you won the money but you should not encourage him for this because it can also happen that in future he may also loose money if did the same again.
You should scold him for using your system in your absence so that such mistake in never repeated again.

You are an adult in charge of a minor. YES, you should be upset at him! I did something he totally shouldn't have done.

Worse upset should be his parents. You exposed a minor to on-line poker!

The fact that you won money off this mishap is entirely beside the point. The kid should be made to understand that he shouldn't be on a computer unsupervised. EVER. You should be made to understand that if you're in charge of a kid, HE shouldn't be unsupervised!

Well, you are lucky enough to get away, but I will suggest you not to let anyone play with your account. Otherwise it may cost you a lot. Anyways there is no point of getting mad at your cousin now. So just warn him not to do anything like this in future without your permission.

No point in getting really upset as he won. I'm not saying the 'ends justifies the means', but from what you said, he thought it was only play money. Count yourself very lucky and explain to him that one, he's too young to be playing games involving gambling and two, he shouldn't use your computer without your permission.

The lesson of not signing off your computer was fairly cheap as I see it. Just a little emotional roller coaster, instead of a financial one.

Good Luck

Flavorfull anecdote but what the hell is the question? If you play to win money and the kid won some for you what's your beef?

Next time you babysit leave a loaded firearm lying around or some rat poison for the kid to get into. Too bad [pretending to believe it's a true story] he didn't lose the whole wad for you, because that's what you earned.

Lesson learned. SIGN OFF if other people have access to your computer.

But you should secretly be happy that he won you money, but assuming that he's never seen on-line poker, he probably had no way to know he wasn't fooling around. But I'd still yell at him a little if he went on your PC without permission (assuming he should have asked)

I'd say you should tell his parents that he actually lost $40, and see if they'll reimburse you, but that might be greedy.

I wouldn't punish him, I would ask him to never play on your poker account again.

If he is a little kid he won't understand what he is doing or the real value of the money. To be safe you should log out every single time you plan to leave the computer.
