Is there any advantage to blind checking the SB in 2-5 NL Hold Em?

All players fold preflop except one (not the BB) and the SB. No preflop raise. Is there any advantage in this situation for the SB to check blind before the flop. Example is if he has a low to mid hand....4 5 suited or 8 10 suited like that....or even like K 8 unsuited and it is a 2-5 NL Hold Em game and the SB wanted to see the flop for 3 extra bucks.
