Is Absolute poker a well trusted sight that actually pays out?

Is absolute poker a site that pays out when you want to cash out without issues? Are they also a trusted site. I recently funded money on the site I should of done more research about them first though. Any input would be great.

celt71 		I wouldnt play there, its not one of the recommended sites, but I guess nowadays you should be paid. There are more secure sites than it.

ger2000 		For payouts it's fine, for security it's not the best but I would say it's fine at the moment. (It could change because they tend to be slow to react to new security threats). If that's where you'd rather play, play there. But if it's a close decision between that and another site, pick the other site.

twocox 		Their rep isn't the greatest, particularly as they were at the center of one of the biggest cheating scandals in online gambling history. However, I would imagine they've cleaned up their act a lot or they wouldn't still be in business. They would not be my first (or even fifth) choice of a site tho.

jamsey 		I think it can be trusted with your money and for payouts. They haven't had a problem with that, so far as I know.

But their security as far as the games are concerned.... no. Aside from the super-user cheating scandal (Absolute and Ultimate Bet are now combined into the Cereus network), there was a software leak recently that they may have known about but did not act on until they were outed. In terms of them taking responsibility for the game's viability and honesty, they have not had a good track record.

As far as games, they are limited, IMO. I prefer playing at PokerStars or FullTilt, for a whole lot of reasons.

celt71 		From what I have gathered, they are still reliable when it comes to payouts, but their reputation has not been very clean (the inside job issue a few years back) although I'm sure they are trying to get their reputation back, but personally I don't want to risk it.. I prefer to play at fulltilt, pokerstars, and http://www.blindhit.com

montie 		It is by no means a well trusted site. Having said that you will 100% get your money when you cash out. Absolute (which is the same as Ultimate BetPoker) has gotten a bad reputation when it was found out a few years ago there was a player cheating who could see the other players hole cards. This player made millions of the other players. There was an investigation and Ultimate Bet/ Absolute eventually refunded the players money (millions) that they believed was taken from the cheater. Also, recently there was another security breach that Pokertableratings.com noticed and told UB-Absolute about. Apparently they were not using the most up to date security technology. Although it was said to have been fixed my opinion is why would you play for these guys when there are so many better options out there. No reason to play absolute or ultimate bet when there is PokerStars and Fullilt. More info on PokerStars here, Check it out:

smithy 		Yes, Absolute poker does pay out. They recently joined cereus network so it definitely is a trusted site. I cashed out 4 or 5 checks from this particular site and they all cleared. No problems or hassles.
