How do you get into the WSOP without paying the $10,000 entry fee?

Is there a way you can win a spot by playing other tournaments?

fullhouse 		Many poker sites especially PokerStars and Full Tilt will have numerous freerolls and other smaller tournaments to get a seat. Most of these tournaments will start probably around April. They will have a lot of tournaments with a fairly small buy-in that you will have to finish in the top percent aisle to get into another tournament, then another tournament and the winner or winners depending on the amount of entrants will get a seat. Leading up to the tournament several casinos will have live tournaments and the winner will get a seat. Some casinos will even have sit n go tournaments where 10 people buy in for a $1,000 plus a casino fee and the winner of the one table tournament will get a seat. Online site will have these sit n gos to right before the tournament starts. There will be some free tournaments online but that will be the first of several steps you have to go through to get a seat. It is not impossible as many players qualify this way. In 2003 Chris Moneymaker won a $40 online tournament to earn his seat at the main event, then of course he won it that year. There are a couple of give-aways to but that will only go to a couple of people, I think the Jack Links beef jerkey company that sponsored the tournament gave away a free seat or two.

cameron 		Either through online poker satellite tournaments or live casino satellites. With online poker, you can try for very little money, however, you may have to win several tournaments in a row, which is obviously very difficult.

montie 		Tournaments through a poker site, mostly Pokerstars or full tilt. However in the end you'd have to win against hundreds of contestants and still pay some money. The only way those who didn't pay got in was.. well they were sponsors and already Poker Pro's. There is no way.
