Five card draw?

If you are dealt a pair of aces and fives, and it is time to draw cards is it better to keep both pairs and draw one or keep the aces and draw three cards?

It depends how many others are in the hand and if you get to see how many cards they are drawing. Otherwise, draw for trip As or better 2 pair because the chances of your 2 pair holding up are not so good with 4 or 5 others in the hand.

Keep the two pair. The chances of you getting a third ace with two extra cards are slim . There isn't much point is trying to better your low pair, since high pair counts first. The only way the value of your 5s would come into consideration is if someone else had a pair of Aces. (aces & 5s beat kings & queens) Besides, your odds aren't THAT great of getting another pair anyways. You will weaken your hand more often than you will strengthen it.
