Canadian Online Betting laws?

Im currently living in Canada, and was looking to join on Online Sportsbook betting website.
I was going to join Bet365 to bet on sports and not poker. Is this legal in Canada or not

jamsey 		Yes, but 365, traditionally thought of as reliable, has recently been exposed as being a bit shady, with several complaints coming in recently. There are several sites that will serve you better than 365. I suggest checking out the independent reviews of reputable sportsbooks at http://www.Sportsbook-Ratings.net All of the info is free, as well as the daily sports picks, betting tips, and more.

celt71 		There’s no law against online gambling in Canada. And sports’ betting is completely legal in Canada. Betting online is safe if you use a reputable service. Be aware of the scams. Moreover, you need to pay the taxes on your winnings.

jamsey 		Hi, I live in the UK and I use Bet365 , a previous poster suggested that they are a shady outfit. This is definitively not the case. They are a reputable bookmaker and they sponsor many major events. Do not fall into the trap of following affiliate links. This is where the real scammers are. If it is possible for you to bet online in Canada then why dont you check out Betfair instead. Its a betting exchange where you bet against other people. As there is no overound from a bookmaker (only 5% commission on a win) you will get much better odds. Also you can trade. Check out Bet Angel for a look at what this is all about.

I am also Canadian and its the only place I will bet now, and I have tried many. I find them to be the best all around.
