Are there registration fees when buying in the wsop? (not the buy in)?

I'm planning on playing in a couple of the early wsop tournaments in June and was wondering if there was a registration fee. (10%?, 15%? of the buy in) Also, does anyone have any tips to a first time player there?

Yes. You think they are running these tourneys for free?

I don't know what the % is, but if you buy into a $1500 tourney, not all $1500 is going to the prize pool.

The amount of money listed is the amount you pay for each event, but as another poster said, not all of the buy-in goes to the prize pool.

For example, if the buy in is $10,000, then the break down is something like $9700 to the prize pool and $300 entry fee.

They state what the breakdown is for all of them
