I usually fold when Raise then reraise occurs, 9 times out 10, it usually means one has a monster hand, AA AK KK, Do you want a race where you could well be behind?? Why did you not raise up to steal blinds in first place? outcome still the same you should fold and wait for a better opportunity.

Poker is more about the hands you fold than the hands you play. most people get married to mediocre hands and it usually cost them the tournament.

Good luck in future

You definately should be more conservative at the beginning of the tournament and fold. You could be ahead(they could have AK,AQ,1010,99), but there is no reason to take the risk early on in the tournament with the blinds so low.

But I am confused about the question. Did you raise on the button, then the small blind three bet you, and the big blind four bet? Or did you limp on the button, the small blind raised, then the big blind 3 bet? Because if the second one is the case, then I might considering calling on the button, or even raising. Once it gets down the the blinds, the players range is definately wider, and your hand is really disguised by limping on the button.
